The Garden
Oh my God!!I can HARDLY contain myself just writing this - The Garden opens in 3 days time!!!! Without doubt, The Garden would be my all time fav part of the Fringe... it's that glorious period of the year that you have somewhere to go, have an afternoon/night out, meet friends, have a few drinks, have something to drink is a relaxed, fun and festival-like atmosphere! You just cannot go past it - a warm night with the sights and sounds of all the crazy sideshows, the fairy lights lighting up the trees, bands playing, people just generally in good spirits enjoying themselves!
A tip for anyone - the Garden has many wonderful food stalls that are there year after year, but the two picks is one that is a more recent addition - Wicked Pizza - they have a few selections on the menu that are standard, but were slightly altered for the Fringe and were very tasty. But the main one is, the stall that has hot chips in a cone - they have the BEST gravy you will find out there! A number of us wait a year just to head there and get a fix of this superior substance - I suggest anyone reading this, head in there and try it for yourself - I think you will be pleasantly surprised!
Another tip for the Garden - keep your mind and night open - the number of times over the years that my friends and I have been sitting around The Garden of a night, and have had free tickets given to us.. or dirt cheap tickets offered at the last min.. anything can happen, a number of fantastic shows being held there every night - the best thing is to see what takes your fancy on the night and be spontaneous! That makes for the best nights!
I know, I know, I can't help it - I tend to gush when it comes to talking about the Garden!! Well, I'm off to quietly do a little happy dance in the corner and then rush around my workplace informing everyone about the 3 day countdown they will all be involved in... whether they like it or not...!!

Fringe is in the air....It's starting to get exciting - not long to go, it's all starting to become real again for another year!! My favourite time of the year!! Finge time of year!!
Tickets are on sale and madly being bought (while still trying to keep to a tight budget.. not happy!)
As is the tradition every year, I take 3 weeks holiday to coincide with the Fringe - I cannot let sensible early nights and work get in the way of an excellent, fun filled Fringe experience! Now, the count down is on until my last day - until that point, I will have to survive my remaining days by making great use of my workplace facilities - browsing the net for more Fringe shows, info and buying more tickets online!
Speaking of which... I guess back to "work" for now...

The Garden
It is time!!! Finally it is time!!!Well tonight is the night. The long awaited night. The fairy lights are on... the doors will open... and the magic will begin... The Garden will officially be open!!!!!!
Very excited to check out the layout this year, going past the last few days as the set up has been in its final stages - it looks like this will be the biggest and best Fringe to date! Glad to see the Silent Disco back - nothing better than relaxing with a beer, watching people randomly dance around in silence - win win situation, they have fun and we get free entertainment!
Just found out that Ben Walsh is going to be playing tonight for the opening night of the Garden - ANYONE that knows the Fringe would know that Ben Walsh and the Fringe go hand in hand - he could always be found somewhere around the Garden banging out some amazing beats in one of his many, many groups - he is guaranteed to get people up and moving! A MUST see!!
